Democrate Senatorial Campaign Committee Battle Plan Exposed

Our ‘in you face’ protests, our contacting our elected officials, our attending town hall meetings, and our being involved politically and spreading the word is working! Even though barry’s media does not cover much of what we do, they feel the heat in Washington.
How do I know? Because the Democrat Senatorial Campaign Committee has asked John Kerry to come out of mothballs and implore the party faithful to donate to the cause based on our being involved!
Here is the latest I received via email from a friend regarding the DSCC request dated 09/16/2009 (email slightly abridged to remove calls for donations):
Dear ____,
I think President Obama said it best while laying out his vision for health care reform: “The time for bickering is over. The time for games has passed. Now is the season for action.”
Unfortunately, the organized agents of inaction are fighting change every step of the way.
They want this fall to be a season of big lies. You and I have seen their tactics before. In fact, one of these shadowy groups, Conservatives for Patients’ Rights, has hired the same hit crew behind the 2004 Swiftboat smear campaign.
But here’s what you might not know: These shadowy groups are going on the attack earlier than ever before. Since June, six groups have spent more than $21 million on television ads alone. And while they’re currently focused on derailing health care reform, you can be sure that the misinformation they’re peddling will take root – and take its toll on our candidates, our majority and our change agenda – if we don’t push back now.
Our grassroots strength can – and will – defeat the smear agents. The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is nearing a crucial deadline. Meeting our $3 million goal is so critical that if you give by Sept. 30, a group of senators will match your contribution, doubling your impact.
Our battle plan is simple, but effective:
First: We will go on the attack. As President Obama said, if you misrepresent the facts, we will call you out. {Ooohhh, I’m scared, John.}
Second: We will support our Democratic incumbents – the senators working hard today to secure health care for all. We must ensure that Democratic senators have the resources they need when these groups flood the airwaves with their lies and distortions. {Oh, you mean promoting more lies?}
And third: We will back strong Democratic challengers. Because if we can preserve and expand our majority, we can help President Obama make the lasting change America voted for in November. As he so eloquently said, “We did not come here just to clean up crises. We came to build a future.” {You better get it done before 2010 when you become the minority party.}
That’s why we’ve set a strong goal, and we’re asking for help from our grassroots supporters in reaching it. Every dollar you give before Sept. 30 will become two, thanks to the senators’ match, and will help us fight the smears, build strong campaigns for each of our incumbents, and strengthen our Senate majority. That’s the best chance we have of being partners in progress for our president’s bold vision.
In all my years in the Senate, we’ve never been this close to making the type of fundamental changes that will strengthen America for years to come. We truly have the opportunity to finally fix our broken health care system, tackle climate change, build an education system we can all take pride in, and bring civility back to Washington. It’s no wonder that the Republican billionaires who fund the lies and other defenders of the status quo are feeling the pressure.
The goal is in sight. Let’s work together to make it happen.
Sincerely,
Sen. John Kerry
