I received an email this morning from a friend and in it was the letter below to barry from Mr. Bell. I called Mr. Franklin Bell and received his permission to post it on Red Pills. He asked me not to include his phone number since he has been getting a lot of calls of support, i.e., “it is getting a bit out of hand”. If you would like to contact Franklin, please send him a snail mail. So rest assured this is from a real guy, a real American who is obviously dismayed, as so many of us are, as to what is happening to America. Note that he included his congress critters as recipients of his letter. If we would each do the same, do you realize what an impact that would have, particularly if it were sent to the Democrats who are supposed to represent us! Then, in the next election, consider voting third party and get rid of the traitorous sludge currently in office.

Thank you Mr. Bell!

Note: —————-
10/09: Besides this letter to Barack Obama, Mr. Bell has subsequently written a number of additional letters to BHO which have been posted on Red Pills. You can find them HERE.
06/17: Mr. Frank Bell has left comments to the posting of his original letter and to the comments you have left. See Frank’s comments below.
End Note. ———–

Mr. Bell’s open letter to barry:

Franklin T. Bell, CFM, RPA, FMA
7239 Swan Point Way
Columbia, MD 21045

April 9, 2009

The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, DC20500

Mr. Obama:

I have had it with you and your administration, sir. Your conduct on your recent trip overseas has convinced me that you are not an adequate representative of the United States of America collectively or of me personally.

You are so obsessed with appeasing the Europeans and the Muslim world that you have abdicated the responsibilities of the President of the United States of America. You are responsible to the citizens of the United States. You are not responsible to the peoples of any other country on earth..

I personally resent that you go around the world apologizing for the United States telling Europeans that we are arrogant and do not care about their status in the world. Sir, what do you think the First World War and the Second World War were all about if not the consideration of the peoples of Europe? Are you brain dead? What do you think the Marshall Plan was all about? Do you not understand or know the history of the 20th century?

Where do you get off telling a Muslim country that the United States does not consider itself a Christian country? Have you not read the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution of the United States? This country was founded on Judeo-Christian ethics and the principles governing this country, at least until you came along, come directly from this
heritage. Do you not understand this?

Your bowing to the king of Saudi Arabia is an affront to all Americans. Our President does not bow down to anyone, let alone the king of Saudi Arabia. You don’t show Great Britain, our best and one of our oldest allies, the respect they deserve yet you bow down to the king of Saudi Arabia. How dare you, sir! How dare you!

You can’t find the time to visit the graves of our greatest generation because you don’t want to offend the Germans but make time to visit a mosque in Turkey. You offended our dead and every veteran when you give the Germans more respect than the people who saved the German people from themselves. What’s the matter with you?

I am convinced that you and the members of your administration have the historical and intellectual depth of a mud puddle and should be ashamed of yourselves, all of you.

You are so self-righteously offended by the big bankers and the American automobile manufacturers yet do nothing about the real thieves in this situation, Mr. Dodd, Mr. Frank, Franklin Raines, Jamie Gorelic, the Fannie Mae bonuses, and the Freddie Mac bonuses. What do you intend to do about them? Anything? I seriously doubt it.

What about the U.S. House members passing out $9.1 million in bonuses to their staff members – on top of the $2.5 million in automatic pay raises that lawmakers gave themselves? I understand the average House aide got a 17% bonus. I took a 5% cut in my pay to save jobs with my employer. You haven’t said anything about that. Who authorized that? I surely didn’t!

Executives at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will be receiving $210 million in bonuses over an eighteen-month period, that’s $45 million more than the AIG bonuses. In fact, Fannie and Freddie executives have already been awarded $51 million – not a bad take. Who authorized that and why haven’t you expressed your outrage at this group who are largely responsible for the economic mess we have right now.

I resent that you take me and my fellow citizens as brain-dead and not caring about what you idiots do. We are watching what you are doing and we are getting increasingly fed up with all of you. I also want you to know that I personally find just about everything you do and say to be offensive to every one of my sensibilities. I promise you that I will work tirelessly to see that you do not get a chance to spend two terms destroying my beautiful country.

Sincerely,

Franklin T. Bell, CFM, RPA, FMA

  1. Gary Shumway says:

    smf8719,
    Thank you for your comments.
I agree, some of the more racial oriented comments seem to come from those that should know better since they have been subjected to the same treatment in the past. Go figure.
Do you have documentation re: your comment that 82% of the Combat causalities in Iraq and Afghanistan are Caucasian? If not, I really don’t want to get sidetracked in unnecessary race baiting. There should be no difference between the races in our relationship to the law and appropriate opportunities. I have some very good friends which were not of my race.
My problem with barry is nearly everything else but his race. I probably don’t like his beer either.
Do you have documentation re: the VA back log in claims? We must take care of those who served in our military. That is one of the essential duties of government: provide a military (then provide for those that served), provide police, and provide a court/adjudication system. These need not all be federal.
Agreed, Afghanistan and related could be our Waterloo.
    Take care,
    Gary

  2. Sharon says:

    G’Ma,

    Truce.

    In frienship & like-minds,
    Sharon

Gonna be out for awhile you all. So, no long winded ones from me. Just to let you all know and the reason why I may not answer back any comments to any comments made to me perhaps. Had a death in my family early this morning.

  3. Anne LeBlanc says:

I just spent time reading a lot of comments and finally skipped down to make one of my own after reading Sharon’s confession that she didn’t vote because she didn’t like either candidate. Sharon: please vote next time. Please.

I read a quote not long ago that made a lot of sense. It said that history is littered with the bones of dead political parties. As a committed pro-lifer, I frequently cannot find a candidate that exactly matches my convictions, but I always vote in every single race I can. If neither of the major parties has a candidate I can vote either for or against, even in a lukewarm fashion, then I vote for a different candidate on one of the third party lines that does at least somewhat correspond. (In the last election I voted for McCain because a vote for a third party would have been a vote for Obama, whom I abhor.) I answered a Republican fundraising letter recently by enclosing it in a (paper!) letter to the head of the organization that I would not donate yet because I hadn’t decided whether or not to re-register with the Conservaties. And said that I will be watching. In the voting booth, if there’s a candidate I want who is on both Republican and Conservative lines, I pull the lever on the Conservative line.

These are not my ideas, but ones I’ve picked up over time from thoughtful people who are also knowledgeable on political topics, and they make sense to me. The political parties are making some really stupid mistakes and the voting booth is one way we can send them a message. The major parties do watch to see if they are gaining in people who are registered and they don’t like to see their votes going to third parties because it helps their opposition.

But none of that happens if we thoughtful voters don’t vote. Please, please, everybody, vote. Individually, yeah, it’s just one vote. But put enough water droplets together and it’s a flood.

End of soapbox. Thanks for listening. And see ya’ at the polls.

  4. Gary Shumway says:

    Sharon,
I am very sorry to hear that you had a death in your family.
Gather around your family. Human compassion makes the universe bearable.
    Write when you can.
    Gary

  5. Gary Shumway says:

    Anne,
    Thank you for your comments.
I agree with most of which you opine except “In the last election I voted for McCain because a vote for a third party would have been a vote for Obama, whom I adbhor.” This logic is exactly why we have only two choices in many races. Why should a third party candidate spend the time and effort to make a difference if that is the logic used by the voters. Additionally, why should either party change. They know, using that logic, that you will vote for one or the other of them, one of them will be in power – and Anne, they are taking us to the same place. Look at the policies of Bush v. Obama. Obama is just Bush on steroids.
You must always vote your conscience. Doing otherwise means you are compromising and you will get what you don’t want.
A vote for your conscience is NEVER a wasted vote.
Thank you for considering my position.
    Gary

My Sympathy, Sharon. Losing a loved one is always hard.

Truce & God Bless you as you go through this difficult time!! Looking forward to seeing you back soon. Sherry / Black Powder Grandma

  7. Frank Bell says:

    Sorry about your loss, Sharon.

I lost my little sister 2 years ago to cancer and just recently heard that my 2nd sister is suffering the same.

Peace of the Lord by with you and yours.

    Frank

  8. Gypsy Lass says:

This man speaks for the majority of us!
You can almost guarantee that the president never laid eyes on it. Too bad, he may want to keep a closer eye on “we the people”….taking back out Country!!

    GREAT JOB Mr. Bell
thanks for representing the average American :)

  9. arnie32 says:

Glenn Beck could not have said it better.

  10. zorro707 says:

I stand in utter dismay of Obama’s policies and performance. The man is subversive to anyone who has any conservative sense; and in a larger sense, to the long term goals of a progressive nation. i am amazed that the yesmen-left can not recognize the fact that a friend to everyone is a friend to no one. how can he twist our constitutional right to pursuit of happiness into a basket of happiness for all with no pursuit {work} involved. this is a recipe for disaster.
When this universal free lunch is implemented, there had best be a Bountious God to provide, since those who are left with a work ethic will not be able to. Fruits and grains do not miraculously appear on our tables, they are derived thru the work of those who love what they do and hope to profit from their toil. When tax removes the profit, and hence the livelihood, very few are left to produce.
Those that think that an equitable distribution of goods and services thru a benevolent government should look back to the fiasco that was the USSR. that policy failed there, and will fail anywhere.
I would contend that the something for nothing philosophy could best be better described as resulting in nothing for something. there is nothing truly free in this world save that which is found in nature. these grapes though very sweet, are limited and can turn thru selfishness of the harvesting hordes, into the grapes of wrath.

  11. Frank Bell says:

Thanks for your kind comments, everyone.

I must say that since Barky took over the country, I have been very busy writting letters to each and every one of my representatives and senators, as well as the leadership of the government, not that it does a lot of good in the peoples republic of Maryland. I have never been as active as I am now but I have never been as afraid of anyone as I am of this man and his minions.

I am of an age and station in life where I am not fearful of other’s opinions of me or my attitudes any longer (unlike some of my more fearful acquaintances). I am also finding that am increasing intolerant of the “progressives” with whom I come into contact.

I find them all, without exception, uninformed, biased and totally uninterested in educating themselves. They simply will not take the time to learn or alter their attitudes when they learn something new.

Opps, that must say something about the kind of people I know. Now that’s embarrasing.

THERE IS A REVOLUTION COMING! I CAN FEEL IT!

  12. Dubyah says:

I find it hilarious that so much effort went into crediting the author of this propaganda, and no effort put into verifying what the actual letter contains. It’s basically a long rant filled with inaccuracies and boldfaced lies (anyone care to remember that GWB signed away that bailout money and NOT Obama?) Whoever wrote this letter should be ashamed. And, I’m sure all the phone calls that he/she received were less than flattering and that’s why they chose not to include it any longer (if they even did so in the first place.)

There’s no “revolution coming” as Frank says. I hate to break the news, but the religious right is in the minority in this country, and people who hate Obama usually do so because they’re racist. Shame on you.

  13. Kelly says:

I really don’t care who wrote it. The fact that it was written and said out loud is what is important. We have a great, strong, powerful nation that this man is working on bringing to it’s knees. It is sad and it is frightening. Kudos to the author. I will be passing this along to everyone in my address book.

  14. Gary Shumway says:

    Dubyah,
    Thank you for your comments.
I believe if you will read the previous comments regarding Frank’s letter that I have previously stated that one inaccuracy (if there is one) does not invalidate the entire missive. If you think it does then you are a fool.
When a man expresses his opinion he does not expect all who comment to be flattering. If that’s a problem for you then you better grow up real quick Dubyah and quit hiding behind Mommy’s skirt. Welcome to the real world.
I do not hate barry, I hate his policies and NOT because he is half-white but because he is a damn fascist/socialist (contrary to the misinformed, fascists and socialists are cut from the same cloth, this right/left BS is just that, BS.)
Shame on you for simply being a dinglebarry sycophant.
    Regards,
    Gary

  15. h.d.dreyer says:

i’ll tell what i’m sick of.you right wing idiots slamming obama.where were you the last 8 yrs.when your clown of a president started a war that is costing billions of dollars he’s the reason we’re in trouble now.oh you are such good americans you republicans.we gave you 8 yrs and you screwed it up.my how you do gooders choose to forget the past.also i’m willing to bet you drive a foreign car.hypocrisy ia alive and well in the u.s.let me know where to send you idiots some tissue to dry your eyes.

  16. Gary Shumway says:

    h.d.dreyer,
Hey, moron, why don’t you actually read some of my posts regarding the SOB (Son Of a Bush) before you type crap which the whole world can read? Before you show your lack of mental acumen and what a good little barry butt pucker you are you may want to search Red Pills for ‘Bush’. You obviously have a propensity for opening your mouth before you engage the three ganglia you use as a brain.
In case you haven’t noticed, which apparently you haven’t, your dinglebarry continues and has escalated the war in Afghanistan and has no intention of EVER leaving Iraq. Your boy is continuing the same policies as the SOB. Bawhawhaahaahaahaa!
I am not a Republican. Oh, wait, I take that back. I was Republican for two months so I could vote for Ron Paul in the primary and then went BACK to being a third party (Libertarian or Constitution) member. Further, if you had even a peanut sized brain, you would realize that you should vote for the person, not the party thus I would vote for the likes of Ron Paul any day. Hell, I suspect there might even be a blue dog or two I’d vote for.
I primarily drive a Ford PU and ride a Harley Super Glide but we own a Toyota and a couple of foreign motorcycles. You have a problem with that…then it’s YOUR problem. I will say that I will never purchase another GM or Chrysler product as long as they are government/union owned.
My God but there are dolts out there in America.
Be aware h.d.dreyer that this will be your only comment on Red Pills unless you have something intelligent to say next time. I let this comment through only because it serves to remind us what absolute mental midgets actually compose barry’s socialist sycophants.
    Regards,
    Gary

  17. Black-Powder-Grandma says:

Dubyah and h.d.dreyer: You truly are ‘dinglebarry sycophants’. GET A LIFE AND TRY TO CORRECT THAT CASE OF C.R.I (Cranial Rectal Inversion) THAT YOU SERIOUSLY AIL FROM!!!

Sure wish I could express myself as eloquently as you do Gary!!

  19. Black-Powder-Grandma says:

Sure wish I could express myself as eloquently as you do Gary!! I really enjoy your responses to some of these morons.

  20. bjsstepmom says:

I agree with the person who, very early on in this conversation, said the electoral college is corrupt and should be abolished. I would dearly love to see a strong push to do just that.

I also agree with every word of Mr. Bell’s original letter, plus some.

    I welcome the revolution!

  21. Gary Shumway says:

    Black-Powder-Grandma,
You are too kind. I do get carried away at times. But, you know, damn it, there just don’t seem to be many intelligent barry butt puckers out there.
    Go figure.
    Best Regards,
    Gary

  22. Gary Shumway says:

    Black-Powder-Grandma,
Very nicely put. I like it. They definitely have a terminal cases of CRI.
    Best Regards,

  23. Frank Bell says:

    Gary:

Your response to h.d.dreyer demonstates very well the frustration I have with any attempt at reasonable discussion with liberal “progressives”, whatever that is.

You simply cannot communicate with folks who can only defend themselves by flingling derrogative comments and by calling names. Notice that very few of them make any attempt whatsoever to defend Barky except to call anyone who disagress with his philosophy a racist. Me thinks they do protest too much.

For dubyah and h.d. dreyer: Why do you think it is intelligent and contributing to the conversation to assume that I was never critical of Mr. Bush? Why do you think it is intelligent or contributing the to conversation by talking about what kind of vehicle I drive? Do you really think you sound intelligent? Do you really think anyone cares what your narrow-minded, miopic view of the world is?

An intelligent person who really cared about furthering the conversation and learning and/or teaching something to another would ask some thoughtful questions of those who oppose their views and then offer criticism or enlightenment. Maybe this is too deep for you all to comprehend.

By the way, I wrote every word of the letter at the head of this thread. I have not changed my mind or my attitude. I am proud of the fact that I will not lie down and let these socialists roll over me.

In case you haven’t noticed, Mr. Obama and his minions have not followed through on a single campaign promise, certainly are not transparent, obviously do not care what the people of this country think or believe, and when they are challenged or forced to answer questions they, more often than not, do not tell the truth.

So dubyah and d.h.dreyer, if you are proud of your leaders, just continue down the path they are leading you and please, please don’t cry to me when your world caves in on top of you.

As usual, when your world does cave in, and it will, you will cry out for me to come and save you just as you have so many times in the past.

Sharon: I hope all is well with you and yours.

    Gary: Thanks for your thoughtfulness.

    Hi All
I too just found you because snopes.com I received an email today on the letter I now know Mr. Bell wrote. I was checking it out to see if it was legitimate. I found this to be a very interesting site. I know the feeling of many of these people. There is probably much I could say but much has been said so I will wait awhile. There is one thing I will say ,this man Obama has divided this country worse then the civil war ever did. In my almost 70 years I have never seen so much hate among Americans, I do believe Obama has done just what he sat out to do.Which by the way Mr. Bell may have your permission to send your letter on to others. Did you really send this to the White House and if so may I add a PS with my name and mail it on to the White House
I am not a shame to add my name to this or anything else I believe in

    :-)

I’m here and I am reading. You all certainly don’t need me it seems these past few days. Doing a great job so far!
    lol

You know what I think? (oh no, here she goes again with that thinkin’ stuff) I think some of the folks that do come on and say these things are just trolls…looking to get people riled up. Most of them, not all, but most of them really don’t care about politics one way or another or understand what is going on or happening. They just come on, spew stuff, then disappear.

Thank you to my friend Thumper (Gary)hehe, G’ma and you Frank, for your sympathies and condolences. It is deeply appreciated more than you know. Frank, I hear you, I am very sorry about your little sister and then finding out that another one of your sisters is now battling it as well. I am the “little sister” in my own family as well.

Dad passed from leuikimia, I can never spell that word right, so you guys have to dechipher it. lol I, too, am a product of govskols. lol There are or were 7 of us kids plus our parents. There are 5 of us now and that includes me. Mom, Dad, one Sis and now my older brother are gone.
We will carry on and each of us will carry with us our very own personal memories we have of our loved one(s) who have passed on. And each of us will grieve in our own ways.

It was one of my brothers, head on collision with a tanker. His wife had a heartattack the very next day and the docs say it was literally brought on by what they (the docs) called or deemed “broken heart syndrome” and is doing better now, physically anyway. They were talking surgery and stuff for her but it turned out that it was not needed, thank God.
They were married for 38 years.

Going to cut this short. I just wanted to let you all know that I am “around”. I may bust in and have a comment on some things in a few days. I will have to catch up on some of the posts that Gary has put up that I have missed since I wasn’t here. It may be slow coming.

    Take care,
    Sharon

  26. LoisGP says:

God be with you Sharon and give you the strength you need and God be with us all with what may be coming
    Lois

  27. Sharon says:

    Thank you, Lois. Very much.

This may sound odd to some folks right now but believe it or not, coming here the past few days and trying to read some of the things, which I have been having tons of problems with myself as it seems Gary has been with the site…has in some way, helped me. In that, it is keeping me focused on some other issues. Hope that makes since to some.

And yes Lois, God bless and help us all on what may be coming. Reading one of the new posts Gary just put up, I think it was today, the Devvy Kidd article, (hope I spelled that right) was very eye opening and scary.

Take care, thank you again from my heart and glad you are amongst us, Lois. :-)
    Sharon

  28. Frank Bell says:

Welcome back, Sharon. Take your time and get yourself well.

Lois, you have my permission to forward my letter to anyone you think might find it interesting.

    God Bless you all.

    Talk to you soon.

  29. Gary Shumway says:

    Sharon,
    Welcome back!
    We missed your insight.
Yes, Devvy Kidd writes some good articles, well documented. Which reminds me, I need to go back and include the links.
    Take care,
    Gary

  30. Gary Shumway says:

    Sharon,
You and your family have certainly been through the ringer lately. Geezzz, it does indeed take strength to get through some of the life’s sorrows. I am sure many Red Pills readers, even if they don’t comment, are wishing you and your family God’s blessings and comfort.
    Take care and best wishes!

  31. wooldyed says:

When i first read the letter I had heard it was written by a 4th grader (not a teacher) and it is written at about that level, but the teacher denies writing the letter. We can assume the writer speaks for the inept teacher because she forwarded the letter maybe to hundreds of people.
Whoever wrote it simply isn’t paying attention to be so ignorant of what he says he is interested in but cant find out about. Many Millions of words have been written investigating everything possible about Obama, the facts are all very clear. I am glad to know at least this History teacher did not write the horribly wrong historical information included in the letter re: the two world wars in the 20th century. A good teacher would never have written a letter like that, in that way. It would really be an embarrassment to me as a true conservative to allow people to think that all that crap is what I believe, that I am unaware of what evil is done in the name of extremisim. What we truly need to do is get the irrational extremist “haters” separated from the rest of us. The writer of that letter and all who believe it: Get out of the GOP and start your own party.

  32. Sharon says:

Thank you for the WB (welcome back) Gary and Frank. And for the prayers and best wishes from all. I appreciate them more than you know. I am just not talking much right now mainly because this is not the place to do that and it may keep folks from commenting on the topic of this thread and I do not wish that. :-) And I am hoping someone comes in and changes the subject. How ’bout them Dodgers? lol Ok, so may be I just did it myself.

Gary, have you made new posts today? All I saw when I came here was from yesterday. also, no new comments, last comment in this particular that I can see was the one you made to me yesterday on here. I just want everyone to know as well that I am not seeing all of the new comments all of the time. I may come back later and it will be different, that is how it has been working for me.
Refreshing and dumping cache doesn’t change it so I just have to wait until for some reason, it straightens up and I can see new stuff. lol

Anyhow, thank you all again. I am hangin’ in. :-)
Just wanted to know to if there were any new material or is it just acting up again on me.

    Take care all,
    Sharon

I received an email with this letter on it that was written by Mr. Bell. Today we receive many emails. Some never knows whether they are real or not. I couldn’t find an email address of the author on the email that I received, but I want to tell whoever truly wrote that letter congratulations to you. You are 100% right on. I am so disappointed in the American public that they don’t get it. I didn’t vote for this president because I had many questions at the time of this election. I felt that some man who has no record of how he ever arrived here, or how he financed his Harvard education and everything else that he did, and with his low level of experience has no business being president of this country. However, this is just a short note to say congratulations to the writer of that letter. You can be damn sure that I will pass this on to every person on my email address. Unfortunately, I don’t believe this president is smart enough to be orchestrating this by himself. I do believe that there are very powerful, big, left wing groups doing all of this and Obama is nothing more than the messenger boy. If you really exist Mr. Bell, let me say congratulations to you for voicing the opinion of the majority.

  34. Frank Bell says:

I exist RHS and thanks for your comments.

  35. tamra30 says:

I recvd this and went to Snopes to ck out before sending on… Guess what, all they would say is “incorrectly attributed” (my email list a Lyday as the author) there was neither a false or true. Wonder why, because they are very Liberal and this probably made their skin crawl, because the statements themselver are true. So, I too am passing this on. Thank you so much, whomever. And his approval ratings are sinking, I predict even more soon.

  36. eddiec says:

To all who have commented on the Bell letter to Obama. You all appear to be intelligent, thoughtful people. So, allow me to express my views.
First, I agree 100% with the content of the letter. Now, my theory is, that.
all the apparent damage that Obama and his administration are perpetrating on this, my beloved country, is by design. No core of people can be that stupid. The left, are pure Communists, and they want to turn this country
into the former Soviet Union. Obama has avowed Communists working in
his White House. Mark Loyld, the FCC head, and a guy named Van Ross,
who is the “Green Czar,” what ever that is.
We, as a people must keep the pressure on the left, and take our country back, one way or another.
When they really start to come after the guns, watch out. History shows, that’s a big red flag. Germany….. in the 30’s as an example.

    Eddiec,
    Thank you for your comments.
I couldn’t agree more. We want to avoid a violent revolution at nearly all cost. Because after the smoke clears, you don’t know what you will end up with…and it’s not likely to be good.
Throw the bums out of office!

  38. MACK says:

As the late Adrian Rogers said, “you cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.” This man is truly a genius.

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had once failed an entire class. That class had insisted that Obama’s socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer. The professor then said, “OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama’s plan”. All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A.

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little. The second test average was a D.

    No one was happy.

When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F. The scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.

All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.

It cannot be made any more clear and simple than this.

Have a look at House Resolution 45.

THERE IS A REVOLUTION COMING! I CAN FEEL IT!

    Mr. Frank Bell:

You mentioned earlier in this thread that you are Lutheran and converting to Catholicism, due to changes in ordination and calling of pastors. That change was specifically for the ELCA, not all Lutheran denominations. Do you have an LCMS (Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod) congregation in your area?

  42. Frank Bell says:

    Thanks for your concern, jsputman.

There is an LCMS congregation about 20 miles from my home. That is just a little too far for my wife. She loves volunteeing at church but cannot manage that distance at night or during inclement weather.

The fact of the matter is that Lutheranism is really not that far removed from Catholicism (note the predigree of Lutheranism) and we both very much appreciate the overriding dedication to the Eucharist of the Catholic Church.
